9.22.09 The Downing Hawaii Westside Shootout HASL #5 of 6 was a hit. The waves showed up just as expected with good conditions & rippers from Kauai & Maui came down. The winners of each division won Da Kine skimboard bags that were generously donated by Downing Hawaii surf shop the sponsor for this contest. Keith Fowler and Kyle Olson making it in the top 12 of the pro division, David Sterman for taking first in the 22-24 division, Julian Deline for taking 2nd in the 18-21 division and Keiao Gucwa-Bucasas for taking 2nd in the Womens division.
